He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wallace Castle and Emilie Kathryn Castle; his brother-in-law Bruce Kilborn; and his brother Terrance Robert Castle. He is survived by: his siblings, James Castle (Janis), Marrieann Kilborn and Tom Castle; his nieces and nephews, Stacey Valgardson (Troy), Vanessa Richards (Ross), Jacqueline Revak (Grant), Kelly Castle (Amanda), Jonathon Curle and Jocelyn Brown (Blair); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Whitney, Hayley Revak, Madison, Sarah Richards, Myah, Ava Castle, Shea, Nolan and Weston Brown.
