He was predeceased by : his children, Nelson and Paula; his parents, Fred Hayhurst and Myrtle Hayhurst; his aunt Bernice; his uncle Vaughn Read; and his siblings, Jean, Buck Madison (Wardman), Howard (Margaret Hayhurst), Mary Ellen Breadner (Nell), Bill Hayhurst (Neil) and Freda Mae Hayhurst (Pie).
He is survived by : his wife Betty Hayhurst; his daughters, Dana Marie (Wes Baker), Teresa (Keith Lobel), Katrina (Dan Hotel), Shauna (Gord Lidgett) and Julie (Randy Bourgue); his extended family, Ken Wilson (Darlene), Bill Breadner (Dorothy) and Fern Hayhurst; his grandchildren, Ryan Menzul, Laura Heaman, Amanda Galbraith (Bryce), Jolynn Chopp (Ryan), Adam Bourque, Jason Bourque and Alastor Coubrough; and his great grandchildren, Sayli, Zane, Jacoby and Gracie.
