He was predeceased by: his parents, Baptiste Crait and Maggie Crait; his grandparents, Catherine, Sandy Crait, John and Eva Bailey; his siblings, Sandy Crait, Michael Crait, Evelyn Cook and Gladys Crait; his daughter Doreen Brass; his grandson Brian Brass (Cecilia Crait); his nieces, Michelle Cook and Deanna Crait; and his great-niece Chelsea Stevens.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Brightnose and Bruce Brightnose; and his siblings, Lorna Crait, Randy Crait, Irene Munroe (Ross), Albert Crait (Paula), Cathy Crait, Margaret Cook (Sam) and Johnny Crait (Alice). He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery (4477 Main St, West Saint Paul, MB R4A4A7).
