She was predeceased by: her parents, Bengt Nelson and Mary Nelson; her sisters, Debbie McKay and Arlene Thurlbeck; and her in-laws, Doug, Olive Alderson and Patricia Alderson Charette.

She is survived by: her husband Gary Alderson; her son Christopher Alderson (Stephanie); her brother Jim Nelson (Shelley); her siblings-in-law, Steve McKay and Susan Manson (Lawrie); and her close friends, Verna and Sharon. She is also survived by nieces, a nephew, extended family.
