He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, Bill and Katherine; and his siblings, Danny, Alex, Nettie, Elsie, Anne and Evangeline.

He is survived by: his sons, Dale (Lori) and Darren (Chantal); his grandchildren, Cameron, Carter, Madison, Olivia and Jakob; his sister Adell; and his sisters-in-law, Stella and Carol. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Edward's name to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
