He was predeceased by: his wife Katherina. He is survived by: his children, Marge Schapansky (John), Mary Martens, John Giesbrecht (Deb), Tina Heide, Jake Giesbrecht (Erna), Eva Redekopp (Pete), Liesa Fehr (Pete) and Abe Giesbrecht (Joyce).
Viewing was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Calendrier Wiebe Funeral Homes Ltd. (121 8 St, Winkler, MB R6W0M1). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Winkler Reinland Mennonite Church.
