He was predeceased by: his mother Schoenwiese of Manitoba; and his children, Elaine, Viola, Vern and Harv.
He is survived by: his father Cornelius (Susanna Thiessen); his wife Helena Falk (Bishop Johann Bueckert); his children, Alvin (Carol), Gerald (Tina), Sylvia (Vic) and Bev (Jackie); and his daughter-in-law Helene. He is also survived by Dad is survived by two sisters, two sister-in-laws, and one brother-in-law.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Wiebe Funeral Homes Ltd. - Winkler (121 8 St, Winkler, MB R6W0M1). A burial was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Winkler Cemetery (1590 Pembina Ave W, Winkler, MB R6W1T4). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church (252 6 St, Winkler, MB R6W4B2).
