He was predeceased by: his parents, Heindrick Goertzen and Anna Goertzen; his wife Winnie; his daughters, Gwen and Sadie; and his grandson Kirk Duguid.
He is survived by: his children, Bill (Linda), Jake, Neil (Cecile), Abe (Corinne), Ann Collen and Eleanor Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
