He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Degagne and Cécilia Degagne; his wife Diana; his granddaughter Samantha; his nephew Eddy Degagne; and his siblings, Laurette, Germaine, Irene, Denise, Rose-Aimée, Patricia, Jean-Paul and Rene.

He is survived by: his children, Gilbert, Richard (Beverly), Paul (Jo-Anne) and Diane (Gerald); his grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa (Adam), William, Matt (Jill), Nadine (Dylan), Nicholas (Tanya), Nicole (Claude), Corey (Megan) and Ashley (Jordan); and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Jayden, Kara, Remi, Priya, Max, Ruby, Ashlyn, Cohen, Jaxson, Jace, Lexi, Hayden, Cienna and Hanna.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, an organization they felt strongly about.
