He was predeceased by: his parents, René Chamberland and Josephine Chamberland (Jolicoeur); and his siblings, Gilles (Aline), Léo and Lorraine (Eugene Leflour).

He is survived by: his wife Zhimin (Andrea); and his brother Roger (Michelle). He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
