He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Hennig and Florentine Hennig; and his wife Rose. He is survived by: his sister Alice Jaeger; his children, Peter and Anita; his granddaughter Katelyn; his brother-in-law Ed (Helga); his niece Karen (Glenn); his nephew James (Juanita); and his cousin Horst. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, family members and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Friends Funeral Service (2146 Main St, Winnipeg, MB R2V3S5). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
