He was predeceased by: his wife Beryl; his parents, John Hiebert and Elizabeth Hiebert; his grandson Joshua; and his siblings, Susan, Helen, Mary, Kay, Betty and John.

He is survived by: his children, Diana Birch (Ken), Ken Hiebert (Tracy), Rose Jemson (Steven), Brenda Balzer (Tom) and Ed Hiebert; his grandchildren, Tiana, Justin, Dayna, Danielle, Jordan, Tyler, Logan, Hilary, Jayne, Dylan, Alexa, Michaella and Ryker; his great grandchildren, Ben, Waylon, Hudson and Rowan; and his sisters, Evelyn Heffernan (Pat) and Dorothy Eirikson.
