He was predeceased by: his father Harold Assiniboine; his grandparents, Jim Assiniboine, Rosemary Assiniboine, Dennis Assiniboine, Kenny Assiniboine, Leo Hayden and Sarah Smith; and his aunt Joan.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cassidy Assiniboine and Dorian Larviere; his mother Karen Smith; his siblings, Vernon, Melissa, Terry, Sherry, Blake and Tisha; and his aunts and uncles, Leona Smith, Cheryl Martin, Maggie Myran, Kathy, Lisa Assiniboine, Del, James Assiniboine and Stan Irvine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
