He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Frederick Schick and Lydia Schick; his brother Melvin Schick; his sister-in-law Donna Schick; and his in-laws, Micheal and Katherine Bodnarchuk.

He is survived by: his wife Angeline Schick; his children, Heidi Gaskin (David Gaskin), Joshua Schick and Leilani MacPherson (Benjamin MacPherson); and his grandchildren, Euphemia Gaskin, Luke Gaskin, Azlynn Macpherson, Bailey MacPherson, Elias MacPherson, Mikyla MacPherson and Arwynn MacPherson.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cropo Funeral Chapel (Transcona) (1800 Day St, Winnipeg, MB R2C 1E8).
