Daniel Edwin Bowman Obituary

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Daniel (Dan) Edwin Bowman on July 8, 2025.

Born on October 22, 1945, in Detroit Lakes, Becker, Minnesota. Dan was the son of Roger E Bowman and Leola Bowman (ne: King). Dan was the devoted and loving husband of Patricia for 34 years. He was a loving and proud father to Terrance Storm Stevenson (Yeanne) and 3 Daughters in Ontario Sandy Bowman D’Angelo (Ross), Lori Bowman Daferner (Brent) and Angel Bowman Vernon (Gary). Dan was a very proud grandfather of Damien Flynn (Rachel), Shelby Daferner Campbell (Rob), Megan Daferner (Brady), Tyler D’Angelo, Matthew D’Angelo (Katie), Jessica D’Angelo Woods (Jeff), Cole Vernon (Anna), Dylan Vernon (Kirby). And Grandpa Dan was also blessed with 2 Great-Grandsons Nash Campbell and Emerson Campbell.

Dan was predeceased by his parents Leola and Roger, brothers Eugene, Roy, Robert (Bobby) and sister Helen Bowman Hooley. He is survived by brothers Rolland Bowman and Clarence Bowman along with many nieces and nephews.

Dan and his wife Patricia found their calling early in life when they became loving and devoted foster parents to 32 special needs children. All their special children were blessed to have been placed in such a loving and caring environment.

Dan’s passions and hobbies were 1st and foremost fishing on the Red River in Manitoba, camping, woodworking and creating his beautiful, handcrafted Bow’s. He had many skills and talents that he passed down to the younger generations.

Dan will not only be greatly missed by his best friend of 40 years Earl Vic Scott and his wife Susan, but also by his family, friends, neighbours and all that knew him!

Our Dad, Husband, Son, Brother, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Best Friend and neighbor has “Gone Fishing” until we meet again with Love!
