He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Burkart and Rosa Burkart; and his sisters, Helen Kelly (Greg), Mary Kosmonek (Bert), Catherine O'Hara (Jack), Regina Wildfong (Bert) and Dorothy Amundrud (Ellwyn).
He is survived by: his wife Lillian; his children, James (Debbie), Patrick (Elsie) and Jennifer (Quinn); his grandchildren, Melissa (Jordan), Emmitt, Cole, Alex, Hunter and Emilia; his siblings-in-law, Joanna Majkut, Adeline Sprentz, Frances Seyer, Fran Majkut and Art Majkut; his brothers, Gabriel, Joseph, Nick (Ennis), Albert (Loretta) and Rudy; and his brother-in-law Michael Sprentz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
