He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Furness and Catherine Furness; and his brother James Furness. He is survived by: his wife Philomena; his children, Andrea (Don Rempel), Ted (Wanda Lazar), Tracy-Anne (Jamie Weland) and Michael; his sisters, Margaret Blacklock and Terry Glasgow; his brother-in-law Edwin MacIntyre (Cecelia); his nieces, Katrina, Ramona, Christina and Theresa; and his nephew John.
