He was predeceased by: his wife Gene Karpenic; his parents, Michael and Mary; and his siblings, Frank, John, Russ, Ray, Shirley, Ernie and Fred.
He is survived by: his sister Iris Martin; his children, April Demler (Darren) and Shawn Karpenic (Neriza); and his grandchildren, Travis, Katelynn and Brad (Julie). He is also survived by three great-grandsons.
