She was predeceased by: her husband Vern Lander; her daughter Donna Gentes; her parents, Amie Dumaine and Laurence Cournoyer; her grandson Cory Gentes; her siblings, Roger, Valere, Paul, Ernie and Dolores (Little Della); and her brother-in-law Tom.
She is survived by: her siblings, Doris (Dennis), Ray (Joanne), Jules Charles (Ginny), Diane, John and Della (Renald); her daughter Carole (Jarrod); her stepchildren, Robert, Michael and Renee; her foster children, Angelena (Dave), Wendy (Kevin), Greg (Kaity), Loretta (Corey), Samantha (Jennifer), Valerie, Ashley, Agnes, Terry, Natasha, Sunshine, Sunflower, Dom and Jas; and her grandchildren, Nina, Shawn, Brittany, Cameron, Riley, Mackenzie, Reine, Coralee, Lejla, Rosie, Kiara, Brayden, Aurora, Breeann, Vernon, Myles, Denise, Blaze, Damien and Xavier. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denise's name to the Make a Wish Foundation and/or the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.
