He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Turek; his parents, John Turek and Valentine Turek; and his in-laws, Irene and Alvin Wiebe.

He is survived by: his children, Sherie (Jeff), Robert (Melissa) and Michael (Carly); his granddaughters, Abigail, Sadie and Ashlee; his uncle Walter; his aunt Elaine; his cousins, Ron (Susan) and Chrissy; and his winter Texan.
