He is survived by: his fiancée Janice; his children, Rochelle (Cameron), Brooke, Chloe, Austin and Derek Jr.; his grandchildren, Rhiannon, Josie and Lakelynn; his siblings, Eunice, James, Remus, Mileys, Bernice, Mikey, Willie, Delia and Ben; his mother-in-law Beverly Green; and his in-laws, Arnold, Daphne, Ernest, Jr. and Darrell.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Eternal Grace Funerals (1111 Logan Ave #10, Winnipeg, MB R3E1P9).
