She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Knipe; her brother-in-law Bill Knipe; her niece Barbara Johnson; and her siblings, Jean Melnick, Julia McFadyen, Edward Squires and Frank Squires.
She is survived by: her children, Derek (Cathie) and Patricia (Don); her grandson Christopher; her nephews, Edward Melnick (Inis) and Richard Squires (Ilse); and her great-niece Christine Melnick (Trevor).
