He was predeceased by: his parents, Ingeborg Mattson and Einar Mattson; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his former wife Madeline Goytan; his children, Richard (Jean), Lawrence (Joanne), Barbara Wright (Ron), Cathy Johnston (Neil) and Susan Trueman (Todd); and his brother Ivan Mattson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
