In the vast expanse of eternity, Edith shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Edith farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham H. Toews and Martha S. Toews; her brother Henry H. Toews; her sister-in-law Freda Toews; her siblings, Elfriede Peters, Henry Peters and Ida H. Toews; and her nephew Paul H. Toews.
She is survived by: her sister Dr. Helen A. Toews. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friends Funeral Service (2146 Main St, Winnipeg, MB R2V3S5). A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Historic Elmwood Cemetery (88 Hespeler Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2L0L3).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MCC or Winnipeg Humane Society.
