He was predeceased by: his wife Jenny; his siblings, Mona Noyes and Jack Carter; his nephew Guy Noyes; and his mother Cora Carter.
He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Carter and James Carter; his nieces and nephews, Ross MacDonald, John Carter (Lorraine), Heather Baker (John), Colleen Noyes-Reynolds (Kim), Pamela Carter (Gary) and Carrie Schroeder (Warren); and his sister-in-law Lily Stearns.
