He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Goritz (Kushnir); his parents, Rudolph Goritz and Lydia Goritz (Weidman); his siblings, Ewald, Carl, Rudy, Lily and Rose; his sister-in-law Clara; his niece Marlene; his parents-in-law, Mary and Michal Kushnir; and his brother-in-law John Kushnir.

He is survived by: his children, Derek Goritz and Sandra Goritz; his grandson Justin Goritz (Kristina Stanaitis); his sister-in-law Mary Goritz; and his nieces and nephews, Twyla, Shannon (Danny), Shelley, Jen (Bill), Glenn (Inga), Leonard (Betty), Larry (Sharon), Gordon (Marie) and Kevin. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, countless friends.
