She was predeceased by: her parents, Hertha Gesell and Samuel Gesell; her husband Alfred Machel; her son Ronald Machel; and her sisters, Irma Antaya and Hildagard Maron.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hawranik (Gerald) and Wilson Machel (Anna); and her granddaughters, Melanie Hawranik-Sobering (Steve) and Marcie Hawranik-Loewen (Craig).
