He was predeceased by: his wife Helen (DeFehr); his parents, Jacob and Evdokia (Korolkova); his mother-in-law Anna (Braun); his brother-in-law Henry Dueck; his sister Anne Dyck; his brother-in-law Frank Dyck; his stepsister Olga Klassen (Braun); and his foster son Paul Kovacs.
He is survived by: his sons, Herb (Cindy), Donald and Reynold (Karis); his grandchildren, Liana (Amanda), Trevor, Andrew, Adam and Evan; his great grandchildren, Bowen and Lily; and his sisters, Mary Dueck, Irene Unger (Herman) and Lorraine Harms (Charles).
Donations in memory of Eugene may be made to Donwood Personal Care Home.
