He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel and Erna; and his stepfather John Schink. He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his sons, Rob (Deanne), Dan (Shantelle), Rick (Tracy) and John (Gabbie); his grandchildren, Samuel (Shaelyn), Jessica (Mederic), Amanda, David, Katrina and Brooke; and his siblings, Hildegard, Elfriede and Edmund (Alma).
