With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Helen Yurkiw (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away on June 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Neville Yurkiw; her parents, Peter Smith and Marie Smith; and her grandson Heath Yurkiw. She is survived by: her child Dr. Cary Yurkiw (Marcie); her grandchildren, Jaeda and Colby; her daughters, Meagan and Natasha; her sister Laurel Kazan (family: Marianne); her children, Nicole, Zach and Kevin (Melita); her cousins, Marcie and Shawn; her brother-in-law Dennis Yurkiw (Lynda); and her nieces and nephews, Harrison, Mitchell and Larisa.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Korban Funeral Chapel (907 Main St, Winnipeg, MB R2W3P2). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Glen Eden Cemetery (4477 Main St, West Saint Paul, MB R4A2A8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances's memory to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (htuomc.org) or a charity of your choice.
