He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Bates and Dorothy Bates; and his mother-in-law Florence. He is survived by: his wife Adrienne; and his children, Kathie Bates, Blou Bates, Janeen Bates (Cory), Tracey Pottinger and Josh Chappin (Barbara). He is also survived by numerous grandkids and great grandkids who lovely their papa.
A funeral service was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Eternal Grace Funerals (1111 Logan Ave #10, Winnipeg, MB R3E1P9).
