He was predeceased by: his wife Susan (Hunt); his parents, Charles E. M. Ward and Edith (Easton); and his brother Roy (Tanyss). He is survived by: his children, Charlene (Manuel) and Ray; his grandsons, Steven, Nick, Bryce, Taylor and Alex; his great grandchildren, Ivy, Dean and Ellie; his brother Blane (Bev); and his siblings-in-law, Barry (Susan) and Tanyss.
