He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Johnstone; his sister Jo-Ann Johnstone; and his granddaughter Kayla Andersen. He is survived by: his significant other Nedra Andersen; his sons, Duane (Amber), Darrell (Sian) and James (Jen); his significant other's sons, Eric (Rachel) and Michael (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Cameron, Trevor, Grayson, Jayden, Lexi, Tavish, Jaxen, Easton, Gavin, Carlynn and Kaiden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (762 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, MB R3M2M7).
In honour of Garry, the family asks that any donations in his memory be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or KidSport Manitoba.
