George Joseph Puhach Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Joseph Puhach (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away on December 14, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Puhach and Marie Puhach; his brothers, Mike (Julie), Henry (Stella), Emil (Lucille), Alex (Ann) and Nick (Mary); and his brother-in-law Mike Slobodian.
He is survived by: his wife Helen (Friederici); his children, Gwendolyn Band (Colin), Cheryl Merkel (Phil) and Glenn Puhach; his grandchildren, Noelle (Jordan), Shae Lynne (Tyler), Justin (Emma) and Matthew; and his sisters, Kaye Slobodian, Mary Puhach, Anne Senetchko (Mike), Pauline Yawney (Mike) and Nettie Brown (Doug).
In lieu of flowers, which are most gratefully declined, we ask that you might perhaps share an act of kindness with one another instead or reach out to a food bank if you can! 'You can take the boy out of the country BUT you simply cannot take the country out of the boy!
