He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Howard Mead and Norma Mead; his wife Vereen; his parents-in-law, John and Elizabeth Swanston; his brothers, Robin, Gerald (Gerry) and Erling; and his siblings-in-law, Penelope Mead, Wilhemine Johnson, Irvin Grose and Ken Johnson.
He is survived by: his sons, Dale Mead (Jennifer) of Thunder Bay and Warren Mead (Marla Thomas) of Calgary; his grandchildren, Erin Ezack, Philip Mead (Laura) of Thunder Bay, Tyler Mead (Annamaria Kovacevic), Connor Mead of Vancouver and Rebecca Mead (Alex Popravko) of Victoria; his great grandchildren, Gregory, Ethan Ezack and Isaiah Mead; his brother Eric Mead (Lorna); his sister-in-law Lois Grose; his close friend Glen; Kari Parker (Blair).
