We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2020, at the age of 103, Grace Tichota (Winnipeg, Manitoba) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, George Yosten and Mary Yosten (Kruger); her sister Gladys; her husband William Tichota, Sr.; her son-in-law Dick Hoffman; and her great grandchild Preston Bridger.
She is survived by : her children, Bill Tichota (Jeanne) of Norfolk, NE, Kathleen Hoffman of Norfolk, NE, Norma Moore (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, NE and Margie Zarek (Rod) of Columbus, NE. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 1st 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church - Cedar Rapids (508 West Main Street, Cedar Rapids, NE 68627). A wake was held on Friday, January 1st 2021 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A mass of christian burial was held on Saturday, January 2nd 2021 at 10:00 AM at the same location. Current Covid-19 DHM's in effect, including social distancing, will be followed at the visitation and funeral and masks are requested.
