It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Hendrikje Engbers (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away at the age of 102, on March 31, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willem Been and Emma Been; her husband Geert Engbers; her son-in-law Herb; her grandson Alex; and her grandson-in-law Kevin.

She is survived by: her children, John (Cea), Emma, Bill (Kim), Alex (Shirley), Brian (Ellen) and Anne (Ed). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
