He was predeceased by : his parents, Heinrich Lotz and Anna Lotz (Hamburger); his siblings, Conrad, Kate (Smith), Paul, John, Lischen and Anne (Fritz); his siblings-in-law, Ernie Smith, Adam Fritz, Theresa Lotz and Elbera Lotz (Nancy); his niece Mary Lotz; and his nephew Helmut Fritz. He is survived by : his wife Herma (Huber); his children, Margaret Klatt (Karl), Arthur (Corrina) and Carl; his grandchildren, Kristine (Fraser Moss), Eric Klatt (Marisa), Colleen (Matthew Havrilenko), Jacob, Jesse, Lucas, Logan and Landis Lotz; his great grandchildren, Mason, Mikayla Klatt, Lauren and Leah Havrilenko; his siblings, Jack and Elizabeth Greb (Gordon); and his brother-in-law Waldemar Huber (Ingelore). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) or CancerCare Manitoba.
