She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Herauf and Florence Herauf; and her husband Peter Ell. She is survived by: her children, Anne (Lee), Denise (Gordon), Glen and Pat.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Bernadette Parish (820 Cottonwood Rd, Winnipeg, MB R2J1G1).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Lung Association Manitoba or charity of your choice.
