She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Laurent (Willem); her parents, David Smith and Helen Smith (Marmonier); her siblings, Priscilla Smith, Richard and Gerry Smith; and her sisters-in-law, Rose of Winnipeg and Susan Smith of Winnipeg.

She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Rimke (David) and Dennis (Juliet); her grandchildren, Jeff (Donna) of Winnipeg, Charlena Fedorowich (Tim), Reed, Owen Rimke, Riley and Cailin Laurent of Winnipeg; her brothers, Ray Smith (Linda) of Wetaskiwin and Wilfred Smith; and her sister-in-law Gwen Smith of Winnipeg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
