She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivy Norris and Gerry Norris; her husband Charles; her siblings, Margaret and David; her in-laws, Mamie and Harry; her son David; and her son-in-law Jacques.

She is survived by: her children, Karen (Edmond), Chris (Ilene) and Debbie (Dean); her daughter-in-law Debbie; her grandchildren, Nikki (Paul), Jeremy, Alain, Janelle (Dani), Jennifer (Kris), Jonathon (Samura), Charlie (Sarah) and Tara; her great grandchildren, Kyle, Makayla, Oliver and Madelyn; her sister-in-law Bernie; and her niece Katrina.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stars Air Ambulance. This was Joan's charity of choice.
