He is survived by: his wife Almerinda; his grandchildren, Helder (Maddy), Carla, Jennifer Calheiros (Victor), Marcio Goncalves (Steven), Bruno Goncalves (Ainsley), Breanna Machado and Julien Machado; his siblings, Luis (Antonia) and Maria Arruda; his friend Luis Sousa Sr.; and also, Alda Calheiros, Nelia Goncalves (Tony) and Emanuel Machado (Jo-Ann).
