It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joao Eduardo Rodrigues (Winnipeg, Manitoba), who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Odilia and Joao; his sister Eduarda; and the mother of his children Margarida. He is survived by: his wife Zelia; his children, Natalie (Sam), Diane (George), Margaret (Frank), Johnny (Elizabeth), Valter (Jessica), Goretti (Pedro) and Linda (Miguel); his grandchildren, Kenny (Charlotte), Nathan (Alexie), Marcus, Amanda (Daniel), Julia, Joseph, Stephan (Victoria), Jesse, Elliot, Quentin, Finnigan, Nicole, Sienna, Noah, Isabella and Sebastien; his great grandchild Cristiano; and also Margarida. He is also survived by His brother, four sisters, numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:20 PM at the Immaculate Conception Parish (181 Austin St N, Winnipeg, MB R2W3M7). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Assumption Cemetery (3990 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3K1W3).
