He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf and Katherine; his brother John; his son John; and his sister-in-law Stanis (Bernice).

He is survived by: his daughter Teresa (Terry); his grandchildren, Stephanie (Bruce) and Jordan (Jade); his great grandchildren, Gunnar and Finn; his son Gerry (Kari); his grandchildren, Spencer and Sydney; his brother-in-law Ernie (Mary); and his nephews, Greg, Kevin and Andrew.

Donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Fort Garry Catholic cemetery or Harvest Manitoba.
