She was predeceased by: her husband George Nelson of Winnipeg; her brother James; her sisters-in-law, June Sipley of Ottawa and Joan Sipley of Lac du Bonnet; her niece Brenda Sipley; and her parents, Florence Sipley and Samuel Sipley.

She is survived by: her children, Lori of Winnipeg and James of Penticton; her granddaughter Charlotte; her brother Melvin Sipley of Selkirk; her nephew Paul Sipley (Monika) of Calgary; and her niece Sydney Lennie (Bruce) of Ottawa. She is also survived by three great-nieces and a great-nephew.
