She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Simon Van Norman and Jonina Van Norman (Thorarinson); her brothers, David, Robert (Janet), Brian (Bev) and Jack (Marnie) of St. Albert, AB.; her husband Robert L. Tinkess; and her children, Barbara Sturko (Allen) of Winnipeg, Robert Tinkess of Rapid City, Carrie Tinkess (Doug Badiuk) of Brandon, Van Tinkess (Jackie Selk) of Winnipeg and John Tinkess of Calgary. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba.
