She was predeceased by: her brother Victor; her parents, John Epp and Katherine Epp; and her spouse Alfons Baderl. She is survived by: her son John (Krista); and her sister Hanni Epp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Kay worked at various places, including the Manitoba Heart Foundation as a bookkeeper.
