She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Serhi Azaransky and Anastazia Azaransky; her husband Malcolm Yurkowski; her daughter Christine Yurkowski; her brother John Azaransky; her nieces and nephews, Ken, Kim Azaransky, Michael, Carrie Azaransky, Ralph, Barbara Lohr, Deborah Azaransky and Sarah Azaransky; and her sister-in-law Jacquie Azaransky. She was also cherished by her family and friends.

As with all her lifetime endeavors, Katherine achieved great success with the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation.
