He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto and Tillie; his wife Elsie Marie; his sister Leona Street; and his granddaughter Lyla Marie.

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Minnie Schindel (Calvin) and Larry Dyck; his sons, Eric (Jen) and Curtis (Laida); his grandchildren, Kent (Brooke), Jenny (Paul), Danny and Maia; and his great grandchildren, William, Isabelle, Annilee and Violet.
