Kim Kiyomi Tazumi Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kim Kiyomi Tazumi of Winnipeg, Manitoba, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Frank; her parents, Chutaro Teranishi and Yaeko Teranishi; her brothers, Ichiro and Gordon Teranishi; and her son-in-law Stuart Peloski.

She is survived by : her children, Keith (Karen), Sharon and Jeff (Denise); her grandchildren, Kendra, Derek, Ryan and Brendan (Lora); her great grandchildren, Brayson and Leon; her sisters, Sally Takeuchi, Fudge Oye and Naomi Miyai; and her sisters-in-law, Aiko Teranishi and Shirley Teranishi. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Buddhist Temple, 39 Tecumseh St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0J8, or Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.

“Our family was so fortunate to have Kim and Frank as neighbors on Morgan Cres. Kim’s front kitchen window would always be open & the wonderful aroma of her egg rolls or lemon tarts would greet us when we pulled into our driveway. She would quickly run out with a plate in hand to share with us. Kim always knew when a cup of tea & visit was just what a new sleep deprived mom needed. To Keith,Sharon & Jeff, trust your own memories will be of comfort to all of you. The Kowals”
